Bune Ship

"Bune Ships are large Japanese Warships used during the 16 and 17th century the greatest of these ship were basically grand floating Castles complete with pagodas these ships were designed for naval combat at close range with men firing bows/Teppo from the deck and sides as well as throwing large hooks to snag enemy ships at the front some of these ships were equipped with cannons, once snared the troops on top would board the other vessel with swords and spears at the ready, during the sengoku period many coastal samurai Warlords fielded 

Navy's and battled for control of the sea with ships such as these."
